VisualONCOLOGY supports the prescription of chemotherapeutic protocols and contains screensets permitting the definition of new protocols by hospital clinical staff. 

Decision support engine automatically validates medications to be administered on each protocol day in response to changing clinical and laboratory results

VisualONCOLOGY is used by clinicians to prescribe protocol chemotherapy and is used by oncology staff to the review the day to day progress of their patients in the context of the currently active protocol. VisualONCOLOGY administrative screens allow the definition of new protocols that may include prescriptions of all order entry types. Clinicians may order medication tapers according to any of ten possible Bezier curves for any given start and end dose, and VisualMED will automatically notify the prescribing clinician when total lifetime dose limits are approached or exceeded.
